Fueled is a pantry & meal-planning app published by Rank Rebels LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Fueled mobile app and website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- Your pantry, recipes, and preferences live on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional and only happens if you sign in.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
- To plan meals, identify items, and read fridge photos, the relevant text and images you provide are sent to our AI provider — never used to train models.
- You can delete your data at any time in the app, or request full deletion by email.
What we collect

We do not require your precise location or contacts to use Fueled.
Camera
With your permission, Fueled uses the camera to scan barcodes and to photograph items or your fridge. Barcode numbers are used to look up products (see below). Photos of unrecognized items or your fridge are sent to our AI provider to identify what's there, then returned to you to confirm. Photos are processed to answer your request and are not used for advertising.
AI features
When you generate meals, identify an item by photo, or scan your fridge, the relevant item text and/or image is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to produce the result. This content is processed to answer your request and is not used to train AI models. Meal, nutrition, and value figures are informational estimates, not professional dietary or financial advice.
Product lookups
When you scan or enter a barcode, that barcode is sent to Open Food Facts (a free, open product database) to fetch the product name, nutrition, and processing/additive information. No account or personal data is sent — just the barcode.
Nutrition & health apps
Calorie, macro, and micronutrient figures are computed from product and ingredient data. If you turn on Apple Health / Health Connect sync (a Pro feature), Fueled writes the nutrition of meals you log into your device's health store with your permission. That health data stays on your device / in your chosen health platform; we do not collect it, use it for advertising, or share it.
Where your data is stored
- On your device: by default, everything you log stays on your phone. If you never sign in, it does not leave your device except for the AI and product lookups described above.
- In the cloud (optional): if you sign in, your entries and media are stored in our hosted database and private file storage so they sync across your devices and household. Only you (and household members you add) can access your data; media is served through expiring, signed links.
Service providers we use
- Anthropic — AI meal planning, item identification, and fridge analysis.
- Open Food Facts — product lookups by barcode.
- Supabase — cloud database, authentication, and private file storage (only if you sign in).
- Stripe — processes store payments and subscriptions (when enabled); card details go to Stripe, not to us.
- Apple / Google — if you choose "Sign in with Apple" or Google, they authenticate you; if you subscribe through the App Store / Google Play, they process that billing.
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the app and its services.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms; we do not authorize them to use your data for their own marketing.
Your choices & rights
- Delete data: remove any item in the app, or reset the app to wipe your data on the device.
- Delete your account & cloud data: email [email protected] and we will delete your cloud-stored data.
- Turn off sync, camera, or health access at any time (in the app or your device settings).
- Depending on where you live (e.g., California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us and we'll honor applicable requests.
Data retention
Local data stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request or after prolonged inactivity.
Children
Fueled is intended for adults managing a household kitchen and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security
Cloud data is access-controlled so each account can only reach its own records, media is served via signed URLs, and secrets are held server-side. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
