Bedside — Privacy Policy

Bedside is a hospice admission app published by Rank Rebels LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("we", "us"). Questions: [email protected] · 808-427-1928.

The short version. Bedside does not collect anything. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Everything you enter — including patient information and photographs of documents — is written to storage on your own device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We could not read it if we wanted to, because we never receive it.

What we collect

Nothing. This is not a euphemism for "only what we need." The app makes no network request that carries anything you type, draw or photograph.

Where your information is stored

Records are written to the app's local storage on the device you used, and stay there.
Your device's own security is what protects them — its passcode, its encryption, and your organisation's device management. This is the same responsibility you already carry for a paper admission binder.
Device storage is not permanent. An operating system or browser can clear it, and a lost device takes its records with it. Export anything you need to keep; there is an Export control on every packet.
Bedside is not a system of record. Your existing clinical record remains the official one.

Camera

Bedside asks for camera access only to photograph documents you choose to capture. Those images are stored inside the app's own storage and are explicitly not saved to your photo library, so they cannot sync to a cloud photo service or a shared album.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, share or disclose your information, because we do not have it. There are no third-party software development kits, no advertising networks and no data brokers in the app.

Deleting your information

Delete a packet inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove all of its local data. There is nothing on our side to request deletion of. If you would like written confirmation of that for your own compliance file, email us and we will provide it.

HIPAA

Because Bedside never creates, receives, maintains or transmits protected health information on a covered entity's behalf, Rank Rebels LLC is not acting as a business associate when you use the app in this form, and no Business Associate Agreement is required. Your agency remains responsible for its own HIPAA obligations, including the security of the devices it uses. If we later offer server-side storage or synchronisation, that changes — it would require a Business Associate Agreement with your agency, and this policy and both app store privacy labels would be updated before any such feature is enabled.

Children

Bedside is a tool for healthcare staff and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above. A change that affects what leaves your device will be reflected here and in our app store privacy disclosures at the same time as the change itself, not after.
